‘Race To The Top’ not being questioned

"Race to the Top" education "reform" (first applications due in January) has got to be the second most disheartening shock to my system since learning the truths of our Department of Education's "dumbing down of America."

Through years of socialistic, atheistic ideology, our children have been cheated in their study of civics, American history, world history and literature and are losing their traditions and holidays; national pride and honor; their moral compass and lives lived within a safe, honest, respectful and caring community.

While our homes and churches are surely places of respect, caring and education for our children, I can't say that about the classroom, the influence of which is not to be underestimated.

Ask someone from a communist/socialist country. Notice to where they fled for freedom and liberty for their children's future. It's not for me that I question and feel disheartened.

We only need to look at the melting pot that is/was America, (Why don't we seem to be melting together as we once did? how long have we put up with the "diversity" babble?) to see how all parents feel about their childrens' futures.

"Race To The Top," along with socialized medicine - instituted by elected officials I no longer, and never should, have blindly trusted - will put the nail in the coffin of all that makes our God-inspired republic great.

"Race to the Top" is just not being questioned.
