The city of Santa Clarita began installing eight directional signs on four local roadways today to assist the public in locating two of the most frequented commercial destinations in Santa Clarita.

The signs are part of the city's 21-Point Business Plan for Progress, which aims to boost the local economy and support business.

The signs are placed in medians along McBean Parkway, Valencia Boulevard, Magic Mountain Parkway, and near Bouquet Junction. The signage is designed to increase visibility for Westfield Valencia Town Center and the Valencia Auto Center- Santa Clarita's two largest sales tax generators.

"The city is pleased to offer heightened visibility for and ease of access to two of Santa Clarita's premier retail locations," said Mayor Laurene Weste. "These enhancements further position our city as one of Los Angeles County's best shopping destinations."
