The city of Santa Clarita encourages local skaters of all ages to come and whip out their hardest tricks at the Santa Clarita Skate Park Thursday, Jan. 14 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a chance to win a prize package from Active Ride Shop.

There are no sign ups, you just show up.

This event is being held to give back to amateur skaters, providing them with the chance to showcase their skills in a jam format.

The city of Santa Clarita Skate Park was chosen due to its size, state-of-the-art design and professional-level features. Hailed as one of the premier skate destinations in Southern California, the 40,000 square foot Santa Clarita Skate Park features 10 and 11-foot bowls, a half-pipe, flow course, grind ledges, rails, skate-able planters and more, and was designed in part by the city's local skaters.

The Skate Park is located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita 91350.
