Fire officials are responding to a diesel fuel spill at a Chevron gas station in Newhall, authorities said.

About 10 to 15 gallons of the fuel were reportedly running into a storm drain at the gas station on Newhall Avenue near Sierra Highway, said Los Angeles County fire's Inspector Steve Zermeno.

Fire officials received the call about the incident at 10:49 a.m.

Santa Clarita's storm drain division and a fire department hazardous materials team were responding to the scene, Zermeno said.
