The Signal’s Publisher Ian Lamont wrote a column (“Community that makes a difference”) which was published in The Signal Jan. 3.

I was pleased to read that Lamont promises to provide “a community daily newspaper that publishes trusted, independent, valued (and) informative content.”

But today, Jan. 4, The Signal published a nasty cartoon depicting Rush Limbaugh as a racist bigot, which tells me more about the mindset of the cartoonist and Lamont.  

I assume we will get evidence of Limbaugh’s racism, otherwise I will consider Lamont’s comments as so much empty rhetoric.
