Hart Park introduces 'The FUNdamentals of Drawing'

As a part of its 2010 Healthy Park Initiatives, the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation at William S. Hart Park introduces the "The FUNdamentals of Drawing."

With award-winning artist Bob Hernandez for an instructor, the program will teach students to draw with regular pencil and paper in a non-pressure, have fun environment. Students will explore the basic elements of line, value, pattern, texture, perspective and composition.

Classes will run for one hour and thirty minutes for a length of eight weeks. The program will cost $60, plus the cost of materials.

Children, ages 11 thru 17, will meet Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. starting Jan. 26. Adults will meet Wednesdays at 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. starting Jan. 27.

The deadline for sign-ups is Jan. 17 at 4 p.m.

The class will take place at the William S. Hart Regional Park, 24151 Newhall Ave., Newhall 91321. Classes are to be held at Hart Hall unless otherwise notified
