It’s not a ‘holiday tree’

What on earth is going on with America?

Walking though the Veteran’s Historical Plaza in Newhall the other day, I saw a “holiday tree.” Come on. Everybody knows it is called a Christmas tree.

I’m sick and tired of this assault on Christmas. No one says “Merry Christmas” anymore out of fear of offending someone, but the reality is most Americans do celebrate Christmas.

Now we are resorting to calling Christmas trees “holiday trees?” Calling it a “holiday tree” is like calling a menorah a candelabra. Maybe we should start referring to menorahs as holiday candles.

Stop trying to change what it has always been — a Christmas tree.
