Sheriff's deputies are searching for two teenage boys who allegedly stole liquor from a Saugus supermarket and attacked a woman who tried to stop them.

About 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the boys took the liquor from the Vons in the 26000 block of Bouquet Canyon Road, said sheriff's Lt. Tom Bryski.

When a woman confronted the pair, they threw her to the ground and hurled a liquor bottle at her, striking her in the ribs, Bryski said. The two fled the store with the alcohol.

If the boys are found, they would be arrested on suspicion of robbery, Bryski said.
