When should a woman borrow money, and what should she look for once that need arises?

How does a woman master a mindset of success?

These questions and more will be answered at two LifeForward workshops sponsored by Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley on two Saturday mornings in January at the Jo Anne Darcy Canyon Country Library.

The first workshop on Jan. 23 will cover borrowing basics. The presenter will be Leslye Mack, president of GBD Enterprise from the Antelope Valley. She has been teaching financial literacy since 2006 and continues to be a popular presenter in Zonta's LifeForward series.

"New Year, New You" is the topic for a workshop on life success and goal-setting scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 30, also at the Jo Anne Darcy Canyon Country Library. Presenters will be DeAnne Joy and Sidney Nicholas, both motivational speakers and success coaches.

The workshop is designed to help women who feel stuck, overwhelmed or unclear about their goals and crave more joy from life.

The workshop will help women overcome blocks to success, stop allowing the past to influence the present, and master a mindset of success. Participants will come away from the workshop with crystal clarity about their goals and how to take action to achieve them.

Both workshops run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the community room at the library, located at 18601 Soledad Canyon Rd., Santa Clarita 91351.

All workshops are free and open to the public, but reservations are encouraged.
