For the second straight year, Frankie Competelli - owner of Hollywood's Frankie's on Melrose - brought the Italian-American experience to life through The Feast of the Blessed Mother Mary.

"My family and I extend our commitment to Santa Clarita," Competelli said. "It is my family's goal to bring the Italian-American experience to life through gathering our families and our community together to celebrate Italian culture."

Indeed, Competelli brought several elements of Italian culture to the Feast event Saturday. With pieces of Italian art and novelties, live music performed by Italian-American musicians, merchandise similar to those sold in a busy marketplace in an Italian town, authentic food, a hosted cocktail bar and an appearance by representative of the nation's premiere soccer team, it did not take much for visitors to feel as if they were living a day in the life of Italy.
