Forgiveness and playing pretend

These things are always true:

First, we sin. (All are sinners, all need forgiveness. This is known).

Then, for normal human beings, there is guilt. Then confession, repentance and, it is hoped, a contrite heart and willing mind.

Who decides about "forgiveness"? In the final analysis - God.

Am I writing to you concerning a famous person who plays golf? Not really, I don't play golf or watch other people play golf on TV.

It's of no interest to me.

Human nature is of great interest to me and my family, too. We wonder about people who "play pretend" games.

Fake being a fine son, husband and father to protect an "image." Who created that image in the first place?

Some times make sense; others don't.
