Legacy Christian Academy students presented their Christmas performances and hosted the school's seventh annual Christmas Ball on Dec. 5.

After Principal Matt Jackson welcomed the parents, students in each class saluted the flag and offered the school prayer before singing Christmas songs including "Away in a Manger" and "Bright Shining Star." Students also performed plays including "The Willowby's Christmas Tree" and "The Night Before Christmas."

The performances come as Kelly Elliott, Legacy's music teacher, along with other teachers and students, rehearsed the songs and plays for the first half of the year.

The Christmas Ball was an evening of dining, dancing, and practice in etiquette. It was also an opportunity for parents and their kids to connect. The evening was dedicated to the sixth-graders and their parents and was the culmination of weeks of etiquette and dance practice.

As part of the lessons, students practiced sitting, serving, passing plates and using and placing utensils correctly as they finished each course.

The boys practiced serving drinks and even refilling plates of food for the girls at their tables.
