Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday kept a $10,000 reward in place for anyone with information leading to a conviction or an arrest in a mysterious Valencia slaying last year.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich gave the motion to extend the reward for the killer or killers of Anthony Lombardi, which was set to expire on Dec. 31.

“It is our hope by extending the $10,000 reward that someone who has some or any information will come forward so we can bring the murderer to justice,” said Tony Bell, spokesman for Antonovich.

On Sept. 16, 2008 sheriff’s deputies discovered 55-year-old Lombardi’s body in a parked vehicle outside his Valencia home. He had been shot.

A total reward of $85,000, including the county’s portion, is being offered to whomever comes forward with information leading to conviction, according to an online blog created by Lombardi’s family.
