In keeping with the spirit of the holidays, employees of Petersen International Underwriters located in Valencia since 1993, have donated a truckload of food items for the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry.

“In this season of ‘good will toward men’ we want to do a small part to support community members who might need a little extra help at this time of year,” said W. Harold Petersen, President of Petersen International Underwriters and patriarch of the three generations of the family owned business. “Collecting food in the office was the idea of wife Jacquie who epitomizes generosity throughout the year.

The Petersens support a variety of SCV nonprofits and have earned the College of the Canyons Foundation Silver Spur Award for Community Service. The couple was also named “Leaders of Character” in 2008 by the Boys Scouts of America.

Harold Petersen will be dancing for charity on April 24 during the annual “Dancing with Our Stars” event.
