Eight athletes from The Master's College have been named 2008 Scholar-Athletes for their participation in spring sports by the Golden State Athletic Conference.

The award is handed out to juniors and seniors who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

TMC's women's tennis team featured a conference high four scholar-athletes including senior Rebekah Kolstad (Bremerton, Wash.) and juniors Christie Baughman (Caldwell, Idaho), Amy Trae (Columbia, Mo.), and Paula Higuchi (Kahului, Hawaii).

Four players from the Mustangs's baseball team were also included, senior Kyle Nungester (Lee's Summit, Mo.) and juniors Kirk Nungester (Lee's Summit, Mo.), Pete Goeman (Cohasset, Minn.) and Kyle Houlton (Tucson, Ariz.).
