Members of the West Ranch High School Video Production Department invite film and television professionals to participate in the school's second annual Media Day, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 30, in the West Ranch Theater.

Media Day will present students with information and resources on the value of career opportunities in the film and television fields.

Professionals are sought in the fields of news anchor, producer, sports anchor/producer, director of photography, camera operator, animation and related careers.

The program will be offered to all students in the William S. Hart Union High School District, Castaic Middle School, and private schools in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Invitations to prospective presenters have gone out to professionals such as anchors Sandra Mitchell and Chris Schauble; sportscaster Rick Garcia; producers Paul Button of CBS/KCAL and Grant Anderson of CBS/Paramount TV; directors of photography and camera operators Mike May, Sr. and Darin Necessary; post-production editors Rich Fandre and Mike Mazetti; and animators Jerry Langford from "Family Guy" and Chris Sonnenberg from "Kung Fu Panda" and "Enchanted."
