Six Flags Magic Mountain to host New Year's Eve party

For the second year in a row, Six Flags Magic Mountain will host the Six Flags Rock N' Ride New Year's Eve Party, a "safe and sober" New Year's Eve alternative for local youths and families.

Guests can visit for the entire day and stay for the evening activities, or come just for the party.

Highlighting the evening festivities include a deejay and dancing, Guitar Hero® and DanceDanceRevolution® competitions, karaoke and a special countdown fireworks display on the iconic Sky Tower with a Coca-Cola toast to ring in the New Year.

Park hours for Thursday, Dec. 31 are 10:30 a.m. to midnight but the music and dancing will continue until 12:30 a.m. Save time and buy your tickets online for just $29.99 at sixflags.com.

During the day, treat your family to the thrill park's world-class roller coasters such as Terminator® SalvationTM: The Ride, X2, Tatsu, Scream, Goliath, Colossus, Viper and many more.

For the younger thrill seekers, experience dozens of family adventures, including the two interactive children's areas featuring rides and attractions that provide real thrills for kids and adults alike.

Six Flags fun will be even more affordable in 2010 with a new, lower Play Pass price. For just $54.99 (the price of a day's admission), guests will be able to return any operating day during 2010.

Unlike other Southern California theme parks, Six Flags Magic Mountain's Play Pass has no blackout dates and can be used for concerts and special events, including the Park's annual Fright Fest event during October and New Year's Eve.

Six Flags also offers a Combo Pass which is good for unlimited visits to both Magic Mountain and the adjacent water park, Hurricane Harbor. In an unprecedented move, the price for the Combo Pass was lowered $15 and is now available for $74.99!

On sale now online or at the Park, the Play Pass is good at all Six Flags theme parks across the country and comes with a Bonus Book worth more than $300 in value-added Six Flags offers, including free friend admission, free parking coupon, free Hurricane Harbor admission ticket, plus discounts on park food and merchandise.

Six Flags Magic Mountain is located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, north of Los Angeles off Interstate 5 at the Magic Mountain Parkway exit.

The Park is open weekends only until Dec. 19, when the Park will be open daily through Jan. 3, 2010 (except Christmas Day).
