Six Bands Qualify for Band Championships
Marching bands from all six high schools in the Hart District have qualified for Marching Band Championships sponsored by the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association. This is the first time since the six schools have been open that all have qualified, based on points earned at competitions throughout the marching season.

All championships will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, at locations varying from Downey to Corona and San Diego, depending on the division, which is based on band size. Canyon and Saugus high schools will compete in Division 2A; West Ranch, which moved up to Division 5A this year, will be going for a third straight championship; Valencia and Golden Valley compete in Division 3A; and Hart High will be going for an eighth straight championship in Division 4A. Of the 24 bands in the top six of each division, six are from the Hart District!
