There is no such thing as a free lunch

After more than 20 years of the young, the liberal and the special interest groups voting in a large variety of must-have extras the state was forced to regulate, pay for and supervise, the state is now broke.

The universities are now having to raise fees and slash classes. Apparently the students, liberals and special interest groups never took very much stock in basic math classes and basic economics.

It’s nice to think we can have everything and have the state and feds pay for it. But it is and has been unsustainable for years.

So perhaps now that the economy is affecting this group, they will redouble their efforts to learn what makes a society strong and financially secure and it is not that everyone gets everything for “free.”

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Many on the left feel the “democratic revolution” in Venezuela is a great success, but perhaps they should review the problems in that region before pronouncing “mission accomplished.”
