The Valencia Library will be closed for remodeling from Monday until Feb. 1, 2010.

The library’s last day of service to the public before the closure is today.

Normal Sunday hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

While the library is closed, a bookmobile will be stationed in the parking lot, at the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and Valencia Boulevard, for pick-up of items on hold.

The book drop will remain open for the return of library books and materials.

During the closure, patrons are encouraged to visit nearby Los Angeles County libraries in Canyon Country, Castaic and Newhall.

The remodeled Valencia Library will include a dedicated teen area, additional public access computers, new computer furniture, a separate children’s computer area, six self-checkout stations, and new circulation and reference desks.
