Man stabbed in Canyon Country

A 22-year-old man was reportedly stabbed in the chest or torso area Saturday evening in the Cordova Estates Mobile Home park. According to Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station, the incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the 27300 block of Sierra Highway. The motive for the stabbing is unknown, but Hershey said it may be gang-related. A suspect is currently being sought by deputies. The victim was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where he is reportedly being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
