Church of Hope food pantry, Hope for a Find thrift store:
What: The Church of Hope in Canyon Country maintains a thrift store and food pantry to help those in need.
Where: 18364 Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country
When: The pantry is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Closed Christmas Day.
Need: Volunteers, non-perishable food items, clothing and small household goods.

Santa Clarita Valley Emergency Winter Shelter:
What: The SCV Emergency Winter Shelter serves individuals and families without food, homes or places to spend winter nights.
Need: Volunteer or donation opportunities available

Frontier Toyota/Scion Food Drive:
What: Frontier Toyota/Scion is hosting a food drive beginning Monday and continuing through Dec.20 to benefit the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. Each item donated will be exchanged for a raffle ticket. On Dec. 20 at 3 p.m., the dealership will hold a raffle drawing for prizes.
Need: Nonperishable food items.

Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry:
What: The SCV Food Pantry provides food essentials to individuals and families in need.
Where: 24133 Railroad Avenue, Newhall
Whben: 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday through Dec. 23. Pantry is closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2. Seniors only: 9 a.m. to noon third Friday. Working clients only: 10 a.m. to noon first Saturday.
Need: Volunteers, monetary or nonperishable food donations. Five dollar grocery store gift cards are also accepted to give to families for the Hunger Doesn’t Take a Holiday program.

The Signal's Food Pantry Drive
What: The Signal is offering prizes ranging from free car washes to a Sony 36-inch Hi-Scan FD Trinitron TV from Caston's TV & Appliances.
Where: To enter, drop off non-perishable food at The Signal's offices, 24000 Creekside Road in Valencia.
When: Through Dec. 15; winners will be announced Dec. 21.
Need: Nonperishable food, including canned goods and pasta or rice products; also diapers and formula.

Hart High Feed the Needy Dinner
What: Hart High School ASB is providing a dinner, a bag of food, a gift from Santa Claus and blanket or jacket for the needy of Santa Clarita.
Where: Cafeteria at Hart High School, 24825 Newhall Ave., Newhall
When: Dec. 18 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Need: Unwrapped toys for the children, cooked turkeys, salads, deserts, new or used blankets or jackets, Christmas trees.

What: The Warrior Fitness is collecting gifts for the Toys for Tots program during it’s annual Christmas celebration

More Toys for Tots
What: Toys for Tots donation drop boxes at Saugus Speedway
Where: Saugus Speedway at 22500 Soledad Cyn Road
When: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on all Saugus Swap Meet market days, Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, through Dec. 15 at the shopper entrance gates.
Need: Everyone who donates a new, unwrapped toy (minimum value of $5) will receive a free shopper admission for that day.

Single Mother’s Outreach
What: Single Mother’s Outreach is reaching out to help families in need.
Where: Items can be sent to or dropped off at the outreach at 24271 Main Street in Newhall or placed in collection boxes located at Bank of Santa Clarita, Priority One Credit Union, The Signal, Real Life Church, City Hall, and Canyon Vista Children’s Academy.
Need: Gift cards for restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations

Help the Children
Need: Food donations — turkeys and hams for Christmas, canned meat, canned vegetables (no green beans), canned fruit, baking supplies (flour, sugar, salt), evaporated milk, pasta and sauce, rice, dried pinto beans. Gift cards — grocery stores, gas cards, office supply stores, home improvement stores.
Where: Donations can be dropped off at 26450 Ruether Ave., Suite 208. in Saugus

Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley
Where: Donations can be dropped off at 24909 Newhall Ave. in Newhall
Need: Gift cards — grocery stores, big box stores, electronics stores, toy stores, department store cards, non-perishable food items.

Food and Toy Drive
What: The SAC-Newhall Optimist Club is sponsoring its 20th annual Food and Toy Drive.
Where: Donation boxes are at all supermarkets in the Santa Clarita Valley.
When: Through Dec. 24
Need: Toys and non-perishable food.
