Jennifer S. Nelson of Santa Clarita graduated in May from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Sociology. She attended the AeroSpace Basic Course at Maxwell AFB in Alabama before reporting for duty as a 2nd Lieutenant at Tyndell AFB, Panama City, Fla. for 2 years of training as an ABM ­- Air Battle Manager. Nelson is the daughter of Ed and Vicky Nelson of Santa Clarita. She is a 2005 graduate of Saugus High School where she played varsity basketball.
