What ‘changes’ can we afford?

Can you think of a federal government service or mandated program that has succeeded in your lifetime?

Medicare is broke.

Medicaid is broke.

Social Security is broke.

The U.S. Postal Service is broke.

Fannie Mae is broke.

Freddie Mac is broke.

What makes us think we can trust the government's social engineering of health care?

The Department of Energy is an abysmal failure.

It was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil.

Today it has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before.

Once government creates a bureaucracy, it is almost impossible to keep it under control or shut it down.

Nancy Pelosi wants to create more than 100 new bureaucracies to run health care.

Suffocating taxes, onerous regulations and out-of-control federal bureaucracies are not the "changes" Americans voted for - or that we can afford.
