The couple were wed on the fourth hole of the Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort golf course.
During the reception the resort gave a wonderful display of fireworks to punctuate the July 4 evening.
Arriving back in the Santa Clarita Valley, the couple received a welcome home reception at the bride's parents' house.
The groom's mother, Kathleen Lofstrand, was co-host and the party was set up with help from both families.
Those who could not attend the ceremony in Costa Rica were treated to a festive reception with the new Lofstrand couple.
