A 19-year-old man was injured after swerving to avoid hitting a vehicle that turned in front of him during rush hour Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred just before 8 a.m. near Valencia Boulevard and American Way. He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. According to deputies, both drivers were apparently speeding at the time of the incident, though no citations were issued.

Deputies said that the driver of the vehicle that swerved in front of the motorcycle was a 30-year-old woman from Lakeview Terrace.
