Three people in a white Dodge sedan were arrested after they allegedly hit two other vehicles on Interstate 5 Wednesday afternoon. The vehicle collided with two other vehicles in the fast lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the suspects fled their vehicle after it collided with a blue van.
After a brief pursuit on foot, the suspects were apprehended near Rye Canyon Road and Newhall Ranch Road. The driver of the vehicle, Juan Perez, was arrested and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on suspicion of driving under the influence. Several empty beer cans were reportedly found in the suspect's vehicle.
