In support of the Santa Clarita weSPARK Cancer Support Center, local artist and art instructor Virginia Miranda will be exhibiting and auctioning off some of her latest work at "Sunday Afternoon at the Gallery" on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 25000 Avenue Stanford in the Valencia Industrial Park

Virginia Miranda is the owner of Artworks Studio. She has been teaching in Santa Clarita for 23 years. During that time she has taught over one thousand students ranging in age from 5 to 92.

Miranda herself is a student of The Masters techniques having learned much of her skills while living in Paris, France. Miranda is very supportive of weSPARK in no small part due to the loss of her father to cancer in 1983.

weSpark is a special place dedicated to enhance the quality of life for cancer patients and their families and friends. weSPARK provides, free of charge, a center where one can join with others to share their experience, strength, and hope. weSpark offers multiple services designed to heal the mind, body and spirit of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer.

The event will include refreshments and a silent auction that will close at 3:30 p.m.
