First Place
I am thankful for my parents because they gave me my life. And even though we are low on money, we know that if we stick together, we can make it through. I am still thankful for my life because we have a house and we have money for our lunch. I am happy to have my life because I know that I can trust my family. I really love my sister and my brother. And I am really lucky that I can study and go to school. I really like my teachers and the students I am able to work with and be friends with. And that's why I am thankful for my life.

Second Place
I'm thankful for my parents, step-parents and all my step-siblings. I, of course, am the most thankful for my parents because they are always there for me and always put me first. Next, I am thankful for my step-parents because whenever my real parents can't be there for me, my step-parents are ready to fill in for them. And last, but not least, all of my step-brothers because they are always willing to play with me, keep me company or help me with everything else I need. I'm also thankful for all my other relatives that visit me as often as possible. Finally, I am thankful for all of the things that I have and everything that I receive every Christmas and birthday.

Third Place
I give thanks for my family and especially my sister. Without her, I wouldn't have a life. She is kind of annoying and she bothers me and she laughs weird but I still love her. I also give thanks for my friends Kyle and Ryan. They're my best friends you could ever have. I give thanks for my mom and dad because they put food on the table for me. They care for me when I'm sick and they love me. I give thanks for anything I have right now because I have everything I need.

I'm thankful for many things like my family, for example. They're wonderful! I'm also thankful for my soccer team, "Midnight Thunder," my dogs Rascal and Riley, my really awesome friends Siena and Lexi, my really cool neighbors Brandyen and Graice, and the world! Well these are some of the things that I'm thankful for and I hope that you're thankful for something, too.

Do you know who I am thankful for? I am thankful for my parents. Without my parents, I wouldn't be writing this now. My mom and dad don't only work and get money, they help me a lot like find my stuff like my games, they buy things that I need and they do more. That's why I think my parents should be thanked.

I am thankful for a home because it keeps me safe. I am thankful for a bed - otherwise if I slept on the floor my back would always hurt. I am thankful for family because they always take great care of me. I am thankful for food, without it, I would starve and die. I am also thankful for money, without money I couldn't buy food or clothes. I am thankful for clothes because they protect my skin and keep me warm. I am also thankful for a school to provide me education. I am thankful for living in America because in other countries, children work as soon as they can walk. I am also thankful for living in America so I could have freedom because in some countries you can't wear whatever you want to wear. I am thankful for a heater so when I'm cold I can turn it on. I am thankful for air conditioning because on a really hot day, it will cool me down.

I am thankful for my two adorable cats, Chole and Harry. I am thankful for them because if I am sad or even fake crying they will always come up to me for a minute and lick my hand or face to make sure I'm okay. I'm also thankful for my cousin's two dogs, Max and Charlie. I love to go over to my cousin's house and see Max and Charlie because I don't have dogs. When I go over there, those two dogs always bring me warmth and laughter! Another thing I am thankful for are my friends. When I'm with them, they always bring me good times and wild adventures! Many thanks and have a happy fall!

I am thankful for having a house, food and clothing. Some people in the world don't even have clothes. Also, I am thankful for being able to go to school and get a good education. And having money so that I can buy food and toys. You don't really need to have toys, but what you do need is fresh water.

I'm thankful for a lot of things. I'm thankful for my family, friends, food and to live in a town like Santa Clarita. I just love everything here except the brutally hot summer days. I absolutely love Six Flags Magic Mountain. My favorite rides are Goliath, Batman and Viper. I've never been on X2. I want to go on Riddler's Revenge and scream. I am also very thankful for my health. I love my school, too.

I'm thankful for a lot of different things. The first thing I'm thankful for is my family. I am thankful for them because they support me and they are the reason I'm at school. I am also thankful for food and water because we have to survive with these things. I'm thankful for my teacher because she teaches us stuff that we have to live with our whole life. These are the things I'm thankful for.

What am I thankful for? I am thankful for all the doctors in the world that have cures for anyone for anything. You know, without medicine, I bet we all wouldn't be here! Flu vaccines and other medicines help people all over the world to live. Just the other day, there were over 5,000 kids and adults at the doctors in line for their vaccines. If there weren't any doctors, there wouldn't have been all those people there. We should all be thankful for the doctors who keep us healthy and alive.

I'm thankful for my friends so they could play with me and have fun with me. I am thankful for having a life so I can experience a happy, safe and joyful life. I'm thankful for the things I get. When my mom or dad help me, I feel blessed and happy. I feel that because no one else would help me. When I feel sick and light-headed, my family still helps me. I'm also thankful for the food on the table and a roof over my head. I love my family, They rock.

I am thankful for food. Without food and water, I would die. I am also thankful for a house and TV. Without a roof and a TV, water and hail would splash or crash. I am thankful for TV. Without TV, I couldn't play or watch games. I am thankful for my mom and dad because without them, I wouldn't be here. Without places and clothes, it wouldn't be fun and I would get too cold or hot.

I'm thankful for coming here to school because if I wasn't here, I won't be a teacher or a singer. I like everyone here at McGrath Elementary School. I like the librarian and Mr. Health, Asep, and all teachers of every grade. They dress so nicely and they have nice hair. That's why I am thankful for this school.

My name is Stacey M. and I am in the fifth grade. I am very thankful to have a family that takes care of me and does not just leave. When I was born, my parents said "We will always love you" and I realized that my family really cares for me, so I will care for my parents, too.

I am thankful for lots of things, but the things I am most thankful for are my family, my friends and my pets. I am thankful for my family because they protect me, feed me, and also put a roof over my head. I am thankful for friends because, like family, they care for me and cheer me up when I feel sad or blue. I am thankful for my pets because they can also make me happy. One of the most important things I am thankful is just being alive.

What I'm thankful for is having a family. It makes me warm and every day we have a game called, "How many dots are in a domino?" You make a picture out of dominoes. Then you count the dots. I love my family because they tuck me in. They make my favorite food and on my fifth birthday, they brought me the fattest, cutest, biggest teddy bear I ever had.

I am thankful for my education. Education gets where kids want to go. You can learn to be a doctor or a dentist. I am thankful for education because without it, in the future, you would have no job, money for college or even a place to live in. You need education for other everyday things, such as reading and counting your money. A lot of kids say that school is boring, or even a horrible drag, but for me, school is an important thing in life to get you to a better education and a better life. Some kids don't do their homework or work, and I feel very sad that they don't care about their future. Most people say that the only way to get to success is money, but I think differently. Education gets you to money, a good life and other good things. Doing your homework is important, too.

I am thankful for many things in my life. I am extremely thankful for my family. They help me, teach me, care for me and, most importantly, they love me. I am also thankful for my teacher and past teachers. They have taught me every subject so I can become what I want to be later on in my life. Lastly, I am thankful for my house and everything in it.

I am thankful for my family. When I am sad, they are there to support me. When I am happy, they always make me happier and when I am bored, they are there to play with me. The most important thing of all is that they are a loving, kind and helpful family. That is why I love them so much. The last thing that I am thankful for is God. He has given me love and the loving, kind family that I have. That is what is most important in my whole life and I am thankful for what He has given me. I hope everyone is lucky enough to have the best family in the world just like me.

One interesting, fun thing I am thankful for is my heritage because my dad takes me out to special events about Indians. He also teaches me about different plants and if they are edible or medicinal. Dad also takes me hunting, fishing and camping. In each trip, I learn about life and to respect it. Every other day, he teaches us things that he learned growing up on the reservation. Another cool thing I am thankful for is my family because they are always there when I need them. They also help me get through tough times like the time when I ran through a window. I went through excruciating pain. Lastly, I am thankful for my wonderful dogs Bandit and Cheyenne. I am thankful for them because I can always count on them to cheer me up when my family is too busy.

There are a lot of things I could be thankful for. But I choose the Bible. The Bible tells me about biblical times. There was God before Earth and He made Earth and everything in it. Without God, the Earth wouldn't be here. We wouldn't be here. You wouldn't be here. "Hmm, why is this crazy kid talking about this if it can't be proven," you might be thinking. Actually it can be proven: the human body. It has a very certain way or working. If the Big Bang (yes, I think the Big Bang is only a theory) happened, how can all those organs fit together perfectly if only cells put them together? The giraffe. How could it bend down to get a drink of water with its long neck without breaking its neck or choking on the water? Both of these examples had to have been special. So let's go back to the Bible. The Bible teaches me that I am special and without God, I would be lost and confused in this world. This is why I am thankful for the Bible.

I am thankful for having a great family that loves me and cares about me. I am also thankful for my brother, Juan, for taking care of me. I am thankful for having food that my mom makes. Also, I am thankful for my friends because they try their best being a great role model. I am thankful for being alive this day. I am also thankful for having a home. I am thankful for going to a school that helps me understand math and so much more. I am also thankful for what my family gives me.
