Santa Clarita business executives will "serve time" to raise money for children with muscular dystrophy this week. The Muscular Dystrophy Association will host a "lock-up" in a mock jail Thursday, during which volunteers will try to "raise bail" by calling friends and asking for donations for the local chapter. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Outback Steakhouse, located at 25261 N. The Old Road in Valencia. "Bail" will be set at $1,250, which will sponsor a child for the entire year. Potential "bail" donors need donate only a portion of that amount.

Those who raise the entire bail amount will be eligible to win dance lessons at Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Pasadena. Anyone interested in participating in the "lock-up" or in nominating a participant can contact the local MDA office at (818) 981-8200.
