At a previous Art Walk Rick Ayers of Ayres Hand Woven demonstrated hand-woven shawls.

The next Art Walk will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Old Town Newhall. Enjoy wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres on a self-guided tour of art and quaint shops. Talk with visual and performing artists, visit with the new shop owners and meander over to Veterans Plaza.

"Third Thursday Art Walk has been gathering momentum," said Laurie Morgan, president of the Santa Clarita Artists' Association (SCAA). "Many of our members' art is showcased here. We're proud to bring art to the remodeled Main Street in downtown Newhall. Just around the corner, at Hart Park, we held our very successful 20th anniversary Art Classic art show in Hart Hall."

OutWest, one of the venues in Old Town Newhall for Third Thursday, "invites you to enjoy the soothing sounds of Native American flute player, White Feather, while you experience the works of local artists and SCAA members Olga Kaczmar, Bob Hernandez and Evie Cook," said Billie Jean Bell, owner of OutWest, a Western-inspired boutique and cultural center, located on the Western Walk of Stars at 24265 Main St. in Newhall. SCAA members Jane Mick and Evie Cook will have an art boutique at El Trocadero just down the street.
