First Place
"Strike 1, strike 2, strike 3. You're out!" I'm thankful for baseball. It is fun and something I am good at doing. "Yay, I got an A+!" I'm also grateful for school because it teaches me how to read and write so that I have a good education. "Bam, bam, bam." I'm grateful for the men and women fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan to stop the terrorists. "Clean your room, make your bed!" I'm grateful for my parents that cook, clean, etc. I like these shorts. I'm grateful for clothes so we can wear them in cold and warm weather.

Second Place
There would be no food, water or shelter if we didn't have parents. That is why I am thankful to have them. I am glad to have school and learn things. We would have to learn at our homes if we didn't have school. We wouldn't know how to read, write, talk, sing and be active.
I am glad to have money also. We wouldn't have food or a house. I am glad to be with friends and family. I would be alone if we didn't have them.
I am thankful to have nice things in my house. I would have an empty house if I didn't have nice things. I am thankful for singers like Michael Jackson to inspire people. If not, we would be dull and have no inspiration. I am thankful to have books. Why? Because we need something to do. We would be bored if we didn't have books. I am glad to have electricity. We would not have many privileged things like the television and light. I am thankful to be free and not have slaves. I am thankful for many other things.

Third Place
I'm thankful for the world so everyone can live on it. I am thankful for my mom because she brought me to the world and took care of me. I'm thankful for my friends because they help me laugh and play. I am thankful for The Signal because they make me a better writer and help me understand what is going on for the week.
I'm thankful for the people who are reading this. You make me feel good all the time whenever you read this. I am thankful for the "snap, crack, pop" sound and smell of my cooking.
I'm thankful for cooking because it is fun to cook and taste my pound cake, which is homemade and yummy! I'm thankful for the Food Network Channel for cooking up some good time for my family. My most favorite part on Food Network is Cake-Off, which is when they give you a challenge to make a cake in eight hours. The cake that they make is 10 feet tall and the hard part is lifting the cake with your partner onto a table without breaking it.

I'm thankful for my friends. I'm thankful for friends because before I moved over here, I had one friend that lives in Hurricane, Utah. She only comes to California twice a year. For the rest of the year, we would just play in our backyard. When we got here, we made so many friends. I am also thankful for my parents to be able to help me find things I lost and put food on the table. Those are the things I'm thankful for.

I am thankful for food, drinks, homes, friends, family, board games and games. I am thankful for my parents, my brother and holidays such as Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Fourth of July and Thanksgiving because they are all fun and awesome. I am thankful for Christmas because you can get a lot of presents.

Watch out! Yep, that's God who will always watch out for us. You may not think He cares about us, or you might not think He made this world and people, but He did. I'm also thankful for God.
God blesses America and especially you so be thankful. I'd also like to thank my parents for taking care of me by buying me things, caring, teaching me, getting me into a school like Live Oak and helping me live.
Also, my parents have dealt with some harsh things. My dad has broken his ribs, his leg and his arm from falling down a building and he was paralyzed and in the hospital for so long. My mom has to work hard for about 10 hours and she has to pay bills that you may not even pay when you grow up.
It's also been harsh because my brother has cancer and diabetes. It's been going on for years. It's just sad to see his face when he doesn't have friends, but things have gotten better. God has healed my family and you should thank God and your parents for everything.

Do you know who I am thankful for? I am thankful for my parents because they feed me. I love my parents so much. They also give me a place to live. Another thing I am thankful for is my school. The school gives me a place to learn. My teacher is really funny. My school also gives me a place to eat at lunch time.
I am also thankful for my friends Toni, Samantha, Kylie and Kayla. My friends treat me the way I want to be treated. My friends are really nice, especially Toni and Samantha.
They are just so cool. They make me laugh so hard sometimes. I am so glad that you got to read who I'm thankful for. I hope you enjoyed it. Bye.

Do you want to know who I'm thankful for? I'm thankful for my mom, dad, Beth, Chelsie, Abby, Dannie, Michael, Landon, Matt, Brennen, Albert (my bearded dragon), Brycen and all of my friends. I'm thankful for all of them because I can always count on them. I'm more thankful for my mom and my dad because they gave me a home to live in. I'm thankful for my brother Michael because he bought my bearded dragon Albert.
I'm thankful for all of my sisters, brothers and friends because if I fall, I know they will always cheer me up like they always do. I'm also thankful for my bearded dragon because he can also cheer me up when I'm down. That's almost it; I want to add a couple more to the list like my grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles. I'm thankful that I even have grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles because most people don't even have them. That's it for me.

How could you never be thankful for your home, parents, school or a job? It's your most important part of your life! People must be thankful for a roof over any person's head. Parents raise you and feed you for life. School gives education to your life and a job is brought to you. All people must be thankful.

I am thankful for my parents because look at them, they do everything for me! If you don't think your parents love you, they do! They are there for you whenever. I am also thankful for families because they can help you solve problems, do homework and have fun. Parents and families are the best! And they're right there next to you. I think you should be thankful for that, too. They cook, clean and help you move on.

Earth is where we live and I'm thankful for it. Earth's nature is beautiful. It has waterfalls, animals and everything you could imagine. I'm also thankful for air. Air is what keeps us alive (as well as food). If we didn't have the wonderful air, we can't breathe and then we would pass away. Plants also give air so we are able to live by plants. I'm thankful for everything I said. Be thankful.

I'm thankful for my toys, books and clothes. Before I go on, here's why. I like those toys because I like to play with them. I like books because they are full of surprises and I like clothes because I would have to be naked if I didn't have clothes! I'm also thankful for video games and family is the most important.
I also like video games because they are fun. Family is most important because they care for you and protect you. Oh, I left out friends. I like friends because they play with you and hang out with you. Goodbye. Talk to you next time. Peace to the world!

I am thankful for my parents because what would you do without them? They go to work, feed you, buy gifts for birthdays and holidays. Parents are going to give you whatever you need. I am also thankful for all of my friends because they play with you and get you things for your birthday which you don't really need.

I have a lot of things I am thankful for, but I am not sure I can list them all! I am thankful for my house because some people don't have houses. I am also very thankful for my family. Some people don't have family to spend the holidays with. Another thing I am very thankful for is being able to go to school.
I love going to school. You can learn tons of things at school every single day. You can also see all of your friends at school. Wow there are a lot of things I am thankful for. Well I have to go now!
P.S. What are YOU thankful for?

Do you know what I'm thankful for? I'm thankful for my school and education or else I wouldn't be able to write this right now. I'm thankful for my parents because they do everything for me. For instance, I lost my shoes: "I lost my shoes, pop!" "Honey, I found them under the couch."
I'm so thankful for freedom of press because I love writing these essays of course. Every day, I'm thankful for all of my friends especially my two very best friends: Lexi, my BFF (best friends forever) since we were 2 years old, and Marina, my BFF since the beginning of this year. I'm just so thankful for life!
