Isla misrepresents Dobbs’ position

Referring to the Isla commentary of Oct. 24 (“Support for campaign against Dobbs”) asking others to support a boycott of Lou Dobbs on CNN, I would like to profer the suggestion that Isla has misrepresented Dobbs’ position.

Yes, he is against the illegals being here, and why shouldn’t he be?

How many illegals are there in Southern California? In the past five years, the illegal immigration problem has become a problem for Americans, many of whom are unemployed.

I go to fitness centers where employees do not speak a word of English. My apartment complex hires landscapers and electricians who do not speak a word of English. There are Americans in our community who would love to have those jobs.

How many unemployed Americans are there? How many illegals have taken those jobs?

Isla  states that in many of the homes where illegals live, there are legal Americans living there.

Yes, I will bet there are. The “legal” Americans living there are probably the children of the illegals who gain citizenship merely by being born in this country. That should stop.

I would suggest Isla go on Dobbs’ show and openly debate the subject. Actually, I was surprised to see The Signal, a reputable newspaper, print the commentary. Newspapers should stick to the news.
