On Think Santa Clarita Valley Community Day, Tuesday, Nov. 10, local dignitaries, business leaders and volunteers will board a "Think Santa Clarita Valley" bus and spend the day visiting local businesses to inform businesspeople and answer questions about the program.

Also, on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 to 3 p.m at Hart Park, Think Santa Clarita Valley will have a booth at the Santa Clarita Arts & Literacy Festival.

"Think Santa Clarita Valley" is a partnership between the city of Santa Clarita, the county of Los Angeles, the SCV Economic Development Committee, the SCV Chamber of Commerce, the Castaic Chamber of Commerce, Stevenson Ranch, Westridge, and Agua Dulce.

The purpose of "Think Santa Clarita Valley" is to create awareness of the importance of thinking of SCV-based businesses first when shopping, searching for a job or an employee, or looking for a place to eat.

Its Web site, thinksantaclaritavalley.com, offers savings and discounts at Santa Clarita Valley businesses.

When locals "Think Santa Clarita Valley," they support local businesses who are neighbors and friends, and in turn are helping to sustain the local charities, organizations, and schools these businesses are supporting.

Thinking Santa Clarita Valley first helps keep jobs and employees in our valley. When residents Think Santa Clarita Valley, they keep local dollars local, and insure that a portion of sales tax revenue is kept here as well.
