To The Editor:

RE: Proposition 98: Again the special interest people have put together a ballot issue under the guise of limiting the use of government eminent domain. That seems reasonable on the surface. However, when you read the proposition, it also does away with rent control. One must ask what these two issues have to do with each other? Nothing!

When ballot propositions have little "oh, by the ways" added, the true purpose of the proposition becomes evident. Any ballot issue that deceitfully covers two different issues must be defeated. VOTE NO ON 98!
Proposition 99 also limits the use of government eminent domain, but it does not muddy the waters by destroying rent controls. Vote YES on 99.

Don't be fooled! You don't have to believe this letter or any other endorsement. Read the two official Titles and Summaries - a five-minute exercise - and decide for yourself.
