With classes ranging from sushi-making to claymation creation, the city's selection of Parks and Recreation summer courses may have something to satisfy everyone's appetite.

New to the 500-course list this year include samurai swordsmanship and a Movin' Mommies class that teaches moms how to get toned up while pushing a stroller.

The city is still offering the popular classics like kids tennis, swimming and soccer, but will be offering a few unexpected classes as well.

The Delectable Chicken Curries class will teach participants how to blend spices to prepare authentic chicken curries.

The city's pool technicians will teach homeowners everything they need to know to take care of their pools in a one-day Pool School workshop.

Other classes cover proper table etiquette, the basics of buying and selling on EBay, hula dancing, the basics of baby-sitting and the fundamentals of the game of cricket.

"There is a variety of classes for every age and every interest," said Jodi Jones, recreation administrator. "There's something for everyone."

Online and mail-in registration is available now and walk-in registration will also be available on Tuesday.

The summer Seasons recreation bulletin is available at or City Hall.

Classes start as early as June and registration is available until the class starts.
