What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

First Place
A velvet pitch-black coat gleaming with red spiders scattered all down the front, back and arms. An elegant but creepy top hat with stocky black roses sticking out the side, and rough black tulle wrapped around and draping down the beautiful hat. A silky black satin dress that laces up the front with a sparkling red ribbon. Sounds cool right?
Well I'm glad you think so because that is what I'm going to be for Halloween! What exactly am I for Halloween you ask? Have you ever in your life walked into the kitchen, bedroom or anywhere in your house and seen a big, fat spider in the corner or on the wall? Then the spider scares you so you scream and act all scared?
That is the effect I am hoping to get on Halloween when I wear my Spider Queen costume! I want to be a Spider Queen for Halloween because last year I had a really good costume. I was a little black and white harlequin with a little hat and everything. So since I had such a great costume last year, I want to try and top last year's costume with a really awesome Spider Queen costume. And hopefully you have a little idea of what I will look like on Halloween because watch out, I might come and scare you!

Second Place
Usually for Halloween, I see the other kids around the block wearing ghost costumes, bats, mummies, but nobody has ever worn my costume: Road kill! Yup, I'm going to be a road kill. I'm going to get a solid color, probably white. Then we will run it over with the car so it can have tire marks all over it. Put it on, then after that, we stick some kind of animal ears on me with only half an ear on one side and a hole on the other side to make it look extra creepy. After that, we can glue some fur all over me and put makeup on my face. There you have it, road kill!

Many people have costumes for Halloween. This year I'm going to be Zorro. It was my big sister's idea. My big sister Madeline has read the book many times. My costume has a black hat with tiny red spheres hanging from the brim, a black cape that goes down to the back of my knees and strings tie at my neck.
I also have a sword with a "Z" on the hilt. The sword makes a fighting sound when you press a button. I have a black, sparkly mask to go with it.
Zorro is about a fighter who fought unfair rulers in the days when the Spanish ruled. Don Diego de la Vega is Zorro's real identity, who is a son of a wealthy landowner.
My big sister got the idea when we were shopping at Party City for Halloween decorations and we saw swords. My big sister loves to collect them. She saw the sword with a "Z" on it and suggested that I be Zorro. I thought about it and decided to be him.

I would be a citizen for Halloween because there wouldn't really be anything else to be and I would be a citizen to act like a person in a country or in a homeland. Citizens are all around us every day and every time we take orders from our country we live in. That's why I want to be a citizen.

I'm going to be a pirate for Halloween. I want to be that because it is really cute and I thought that it would be cool to be a pirate. It is called the "Jewel of the Sea." It is red and black. My sister wanted to be it but she let me. I'm really excited about it because we get to wear them to school and we get to go trick-or-treating so we get a lot of candy. I really like my costume. I really like this year's Halloween.

I might be a werewolf or nothing. I don't know but I know that we're going to have a parade on Friday. Also, my brother is going to be a dinosaur. He is in the first grade and is six years old. On October 31, I might put on my costume from last year and get lots of candy.

What I'm going to be for Halloween is Frankengirl. I'm going to paint my face green and add a little decorations to my head like painted screws and wrinkles on my forehead. I think I'd look good as Frankengirl because I'm tall and it would be fun!

This Halloween I'm going to be the bleeding ghost faced character from the movie Scream. I want to be that because it's really scary.
Every year I choose a costume that I like and the one that makes me the scariest person I can possibly be.
What's really cool about my costume is that I have a little plastic heart that pumps fake blood and it bleeds down the mask. I already know what I'm going to be next year and my costume will be ten times scarier than it is this year!
Next to scaring all the four-year-olds in the neighborhood, I like getting my candy!
My favorite is the Three Musketeers Bar. I like it because it has dark chocolate on the outside and light smooth chocolate on the inside. To me it's the best candy bar in history!
Last Halloween, I went trick-or-treating with my friends Tyler and Lucas for two miles.
When I got home, my bag of candy weighed six pounds. It was unbelievable how much it weighed. I had a really good time and I hope you liked my story, but if you come into my neighborhood, prepare to get scared so bad that you'll run off screaming and crying for your mommy like a three-year-old fairy princess.

Can you take a guess what I'm going to be for Halloween? Give up? I am going to be a Harajuku Girl. It's a totally different character than who I am. A black dress with a pocket, purple knickers, neon green tights, pink leg and arm warmers, and a little top hat. These are things that came in the package. I am going to add a little accessories to my costume so on Halloween, if anybody has the same costume, I will stand out. On Halloween, I hope people will like my costume. From my description, will you?

When you think of Halloween, what comes to your mind? Well, I know what comes to my mind: witches, pumpkins, vampires and ghosts. So this Halloween, I wanted to be a vampire because it is a basic, fun and scary costume. What makes my costume scary are the dark colors and gothic makeup. Also, there are long, flowing lace sleeves with cobwebs attached to the skirt. So this Halloween my costume is sure to scare.

Meow! I'm going to be a black cat. I looked everywhere for a cat costume, but there was none. I decided to get cat ears and a tail. The cat ears and tail are soft, black and sparkly. I'm just going to wear all black. I was thinking really hard about the basic things I could be. I thought of a black cat. I also like little black cats so that's why I'm being a cat this Halloween. Nobody will see me at night. I will be camouflaged in the darkness. I can't wait until Halloween!

What I want to be for Halloween is an enchanted sorceress. Sorceresses are much more powerful than anything, especially a witch. My costume is really cool because if I didn't get my costume, I wouldn't know what else I would have gotten. So I'm happy about what I am. I hope that I'm the only one with that costume. Maybe I'll get extra candy because my costume is so good. I can't wait for my broom with feathers and sparkles all over it.

My Halloween costume is a pirate. I would like to have this pirate costume because I've been longing to be one. Being a pirate shows that I'm tough and I will hold up my head and say, "Argh!" My number one thing about Halloween is the costume. I do not care if I win in a game we play. I just care about the costume. I hope that this Halloween will be very special. And I want to scare!

What I want to be for Halloween is a zombie with red, bloodshot eyes and ripped clothes. I will use black wax over my teeth and have blood dripping out my mouth. I will have mould fake skin and white makeup for my face. That's what I want to be for Halloween.

For Halloween I'm going to dress up as a witch. I want to dress up because it is silly, funny and spooky. I like it because I want to scare my little brother.
I like dressing up for Halloween but it's hard to choose. When my little brother always dresses up it is easy for him to choose.

Hello, my name is Taylor Cornwall and I am going to tell you what I am going to be for Halloween. I am going to be a Harlequin. It has a miniature top hat. The top hat is all black with a pure white ribbon surrounding it. The costume also comes with a short dress. The dress has a black and white square pattern. It is so cute. The makeup includes white face paint and red lipstick. This is what I am going to be for Halloween.

Boo! What I want to be for Halloween is a Harajuku girl because I love being cute and putting on makeup. I don't really like being scary and ugly. So I think I might be it. The costume is at Party City. When I go knock on the doors, I want people to say nice outfit, and that's what I want to be for Halloween.
P.S. I've wanted to be a garden fairy but I like the Harajuku girl better.

I am going to be a witch for Halloween. It's a devil witch that has spider webs and it is all in red. On October 31, I am going trick-or-treating with my friend Stephanie. We are going to go around the school. We are going with her mom. I hope we get lots of candy and I hope you have an awesome and spooky day.

For Halloween I'm going to be a witch. My hair is going to be long, my dress and hat are going to be orange and black. I'm going to bring a fake black cat. While I go trick-or-treating, my family is going to give out candy. The candy is going to be chocolate. Happy Halloween!

What I'm going to be for Halloween is a witch. What I like about being a witch is that I like how a witch dresses up and I love when a witch laughs because it makes me laugh too. I read a book called "The Witches" and it's my favorite. It has information about a witch. Last of all, the witch's dress looks pretty and I think it looks cute.

I am so happy that it is almost Halloween. For Halloween, I am going to be nice or naughty. Nice or naughty is a costume that is half angel and half devil. The color is mostly red and white. It has a tail of the devil but also the wing of an angel. My costume actually has one horn for the devil and one ring for the angel. I really like my costume because I am actually wearing two costumes.

I am going to dress up as Freddy Krueger for Halloween and scare everyone, and then I'm going to every house and say "Freddy's back!" at people. Then at the end of the day, I'm going to eat so I can be sick and I won't go to school. And then I won't have to do homework.

As black as night and I blend with the night, trick-or-treat I'll say and though my costume may give away. I will be a witch with a tall black hat and cape. I will have a cauldron at my side and will wear a black shirt with a long-sleeve black shirt and black shoes. As quiet as a mouse and as black as night, I'll be a witch who could give you a fright!

For Halloween I'm going to be a candy corn witch. My costume is candy corn-striped and fluffy. My hat is striped and pointy. My hat is also soft. On the top of my dress is a vest. The bottom of my dress is a black tutu. I am going to glow with the orange glow sticks my mom got for me. I can't wait for Halloween.

This Halloween I am going to be Cleopatra. Cleopatra led a very tragic life. She is said to have died by letting a snake that had venom bite her but no one knows for sure.
I'm going to look a lot like her on Halloween. My costume has a golden band and a snake head on it with golden strands of beads to assemble the headdress. It has fabric bands so a flowing green train can attach.
The dress has a gold and green band that goes around the dress, and then on its own it comes down half way. The dress part has tank-top straps and a v-neck. It is an ivory white color with two layers from the waistband. It has satiny texture on the inside and a flowing, transparent material on the outside. It is ankle cut and billows out when you turn. It flows when the wind whispers and it is beautiful.
My hair will be fine and needs no change for I have bangs and long hair. It makes a fine resemblance of the clothes Cleopatra might have worn. It is going to be so much fun; I truly can't wait for Halloween.

I'm going to be a movie star for Halloween because I am right for the job and I look good in it. The color of my costume is pink and it comes with an award, a wig, and a makeup set. I bought it from Party City. And it had good fluffy muffs on the side of the sleeve.
