Homeless arsonist arrested
A homeless man living in a tent under a Sand Canyon Road bridge was arrested Wednesday after he attempted to set fire to the tent of another transient living next to him, according to Lt. Tom Bryski of the The Santa Clarita sheriff's station.

Bryan Stubbins, 31, allegedly poured flammable liquid over the tent next to him. Moments later, he tried to light the tent on fire with a match, though was apparently restrained before he was able to burn it.

He was charged with attempted arson and is being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Two arrested for burglary
Lt. Bryski also reported that two men were arrested Wednesday morning after they allegedly stole a laptop from a home in Canyon Country.

Shortly after 4:45 a.m., deputies saw Edward Valldejuli, 19, of Glendale and Giovanni Abujalil, 18, of Burbank walking on Soledad Canyon Road near Shangri-la Street in Canyon Country, when one of the suspects allegedly tried to hide a laptop computer. When the duo was approached by deputies, they led deputies to the residence where they
stole the laptop from.

Both suspects were arrested, charged with burglary and held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station in lieu of $50,000 each.
