The 2008 Track and Field Masters meet will be held Friday in Cerritos and the Foothill League will see some of its top athletes competing.

With the CIF-Southern Section Toyota Division being so large, the Masters meet is an event where the top nine qualifiers from the CIF finals compete for the California state preliminaries.

The Masters meet will see all athletes from each division competing to make it to the prelims.

From the Foothill League, Hart's Jimmy Kelly will compete in the 3200-yard event while teammate Spencer Lloyd will compete in the shot put.

Saugus' girls distance team will see Anne Randall compete in the 1600-yard and Kaylin Mahoney will compete in the 3200-yard. Mahoney qualified for the 1600-yard event but will not run in that event as she wanted to focus on doing well in the 3200.

Saugus' Heather Snyder and Daniel Swarbrick will compete in both the shot put and the discus throw.
