The parade attracts more than 3,000 participants and 25,000 spectators each year.
"There's nothing that compares to the pride and patriotism expressed during our city's Fourth of July parade," committee chairman Leon Worden said in a statement. "Both spectators and participants enjoy the spectacle of red, white and blue."
Organizers expect musical groups, equestrian units, civic organizations and local businesses to comprise this year's line-up.
This year's theme is Sights and Sounds of Santa Clarita and the grand marshal will be announced in mid June.
"There are two things we can count on each year," Worden said. "First, the parade will always be on July 4 and, second, it will always be hot on that day."
Organizers will close the streets at 8:30 a.m. and the parade is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m.
The route will follow Main Street (formerly San Fernando Road) from William S. Hart Park, turn west on Lyons Avenue before proceeding north along Orchard Village Road. The parade will end adjacent to Placerita Junior High School.
Entry forms may be downloaded at www.scvparade.com. Applications must be sent by mail and received by June 27.
