Illicit decisions now rewarded

An anniversary has just passed. On Oct. 10, 1973 then Vice President Spiro Agnew pleaded no-contest to a charge of tax evasion and (appropriately) resigned his office.

Today, we have tax evaders who are not pleading “no-contest” because they are not even investigated let alone brought up on charges. Instead, they are rewarded with appointments to, or remain in, lucrative, high positions in the Obama administration.

Law-abiding, tax-paying Americans have lost count after at least one dozen of these miscreants who now “serve.” Among them are Timothy Geithner, Charlie Rangel, Kathleen Sebelius, Hilda Solis and Tom Daschle (while having to step down from a formal title remains a health care consultant behind the scenes) just to name a few.

These characters have been abetted, trumpeted, enriched and endowed for illicit decisions and actions that would have ruined any of the rest of us.

What a difference 36 years and a liberal Democrat administration makes.
