The Brittany Foundation hosts "A Day In Their Paws" on Nov. 7 at the corner of Sierra Highway and Anthony Road.

Volunteer humans will spend 24 hours in a kennel with a dog of their choice to demonstrate how shelter dogs live their lives everyday.

There will be an open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for people to meet the dogs, take a tour of the facility, and participate in things such as a raffle and silent auction along with shopping with Cookie Lee Jewelry and other vendors.

The event will also include refreshments from Margo's Bark and bake sale.

Guests are encouraged to sponsor a volunteer by buying their freedom at $1 per minute. Sponsorships can be arranged through Paypal at brittanyfoundation.com, by sending a check with DITP (and the volunteer name) in the memo line to P.O. Box 738, Acton 93510 or through any participating volunteer.

All donations are tax-deductible and will help the Brittany Foundation continue to take care of their current 90 dogs and save even more lives.

Guests are also encouraged to bring the following wish list items to the event: bleach; laundry detergent; paper towels; pure honey; white letter copy paper; Costco, Staple's or Home Depot gift cards; six-foot leashes; Petco or PetSmart gift cards; unflavored Nylabones or Kongs; and colloidal silver.
