There's been a blizzard and school has been cancelled in the small town of Deerpoint, Vermont.

As the kids enjoy snowball fights and sledding, a mysterious girl from another time and place appears out of a snowdrift.

Is Eva a ghost? An angel? A bigfoot-style hoax?

Saugus Theater Arts is bringing "Snow Angel," a 75-minute youth mystery story, complete with blizzard machine, to Arroyo Seco Junior High School on Oct. 22.

The high school performers have carted props, costumes and even lights and curtains over to the junior high to provide a live theater experience for the students there, and hopefully pique their interest in theater production.

"Snow Angel" is a funny, mysterious and poignant play that brings the teenagers of Deerpoint together on a magical snow day to discover that they can all be friends with each other instead of rejecting kids who don't "fit."

This teen-friendly story features the Saugus Advanced Theater Class, including Vaneh Assadourian as the mysterious Eva and Becky Allen as the outcast girl who discovers her in the snow.

The production also features Carson Lambing, Joe Veliz, Emily Coffin, Avery Rodriguez, Davis Stewart, Katie Wilkie, Zack Bozman, Kendall Nelson, Kristen Miranda, Tyler Bibo and Chenoa Musillo.

The public is also invited to attend "Snow Angel" on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 28 and 29, at 7 p.m. at Saugus High School.
