New medical center, water race on Oct. 21 agenda

The next Canyon Country Advisory Committee meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the
George A. Caravalho Activity Center Banquet Room, 20880 Centre Pointe Pkwy,, Santa Clarita 91350.

Mark Oliver, Jim Tanner, Dr. Michael Corben, Dr. Chace Unruh and Doug Hammonds will present plans for the Canyon Hills Medical Center. With more than 100,000 sq. ft. dedicated to comprehensive medical services it will be the largest medical center in the valley creating more than 400 high-paying medical jobs for the Canyon Country area.

Mike Cruz and Maria Gutzeit, candidates for the Newhall Water Board, will be on hand to introduce themselves and tell us about themselves.

Kevin Tanoian will present the city of Santa Clarita's LMD Improvement Plan.

Cruz Caldera will introduce us to the Santa Clarita's Sign Guru. If there questions about Santa Clarita's sign ordinance, this will be the time to ask.

Katerina Malacova will tell us about a new business, Door-to-Door, that will provide household hazardous waste collection.
