Copenhagen goes ‘kerplunk’

Barack, Michelle and Oprah — 18. The rest of the world — 76.

So the aura of Barack, Michelle and Oprah came crashing down with a thud in Copenhagen when Chicago was the first of four contestants for the Olympic games to be eliminated.

Despite pleas by Barack, his wife and Oprah on behalf of Chicago, out of 94 votes, only 18 went to Chicago.

Unable to control his egomania, narcissism and megalomania, Barack based his plea on behalf of Chicago that nothing would please him more than for him and his wife and his children to be able to go back to his old neighborhood and tell his old neighbors that the Olympics were coming to his home town of Chicago.

It was as if every one of the Olympic delegates was expected to vote to make him happy and to ignore the fact Chicago is one of the most corrupt, crime-ridden cities in the world and Illinois’ junior senator tried to buy his appointment.

And to top it off, Michelle had to inform all of Copenhagen of the tremendous personal sacrifices she, her husband and Oprah were making to come to Copenhagen to seek the Olympic games for Chicago, and how she had sat on her father’s knee to watch Carl Lewis compete in the Olympics (she would have been 20 years old then).

It looks here like the delegates were repulsed by the sheer arrogance of this offensive appeal.
