This year, Macy's is partnering with Junior Achievement to help raise money to provide programs for students in Santa Clarita with a "Shop for a Cause" event Saturday, Oct. 17.

Sabrina MacDougall, District Manager of J.A., has been busy fundraising for Junior Achievement (J.A.) so kids can have valuable programs in their classrooms again this year.

The cost to provide JA's excellent life skills programming for students in grades K-12 is $30 per student which includes multiple lessons that teach kids about personal finance, work-readiness and career exploration, entrepreneurship, ethics, and so much more!

It's a great value that becomes even more evident when kids are inspired and excited about their future. Studies have proven that kids who participate in J.A. programs stay in school and work harder to be successful. Sabrina MacDougall is offering the public a chance to help out J.A. and the kids in the SCV community

Since 2006, Macy's "Shop for a Cause" event has partnered with non-profit organizations nationwide to raise more than $28 million for their ongoing charitable efforts.

"Shop For A Cause" gives the opportunity to help Junior Achievement serve students in Santa Clarita by purchasing a five-dollar Shopping Pass for exclusive savings and special offers in every Macy's store on Saturday, Oct. 17.

As a participating charity, J.A. will keep 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of each pass. For only $5, fantastic savings will be offered for this event. Plus, participants can enter to win a $500 Macy's Gift Card. The shopping pass is accepted at all Macy's store locations, as well as online at
