CSEA Chapter endorses Berger for COC board

The local 725 Chapter of the California School Employees Association at College of the Canyons has endorsed Michael Berger for election to Seat No. 1 in the Nov. 3 Santa Clarita Community College District election.

The COC chapter is comprised of more than 200 classified employees at COC.

CSEA based its support of Berger on his 20 year record of service on the COC Foundation board of directors, his proven commitment and dedication to COC, his educational and community Leadership, and not to mention, he is a COC Alumnus.

A partial list of Berger's other endorsers include Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, Santa Clarita councilmembers Laurene Weste, Bob Kellar and Marsha McLean, SCV Chamber of Commerce board chairman Bill Kennedy, COC trustees Bruce Fortine and Ernie Tichenor, William S. Hart Union High School District board members Dennis King and Gloria Mecado-Fortine, Castaic Union School District Superintendent James M. Gibson Santa Clarita Valley Congress of Republicans and the College of Canyons Faculty Association.

Berger is going against Brian Koegle, Robin Bryce and John Dortch in the race for Tichenor's vacant seat.
