After spending more than 20 years taking millions of pictures, including on the African savannah of wildlife as diverse as any on the planet, Rick Edwards has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that could inform any aspiring photographer.

Edwards, the official photographer for the Kenya Wildlife Service, will be the featured presenters for the Santa Clarita Valley Computer Club's presentation, "Insight to Digital Photography."

He is also an associate of The Royal Photographic Society, an organization of professional and student photographers from around the world who give lectures on photography.

His presentation, which will include a 15-minute slide show, will focus on providing techniques to improve a person's photography and overall photo-taking skills.

Going through Edward's online portfolio is like flipping through an infinitely large issue of National Gegraphic - on one online portfolio, he has more than 92 pictures of Cheetahs.

His pictures have been transformed into Hallmark cards and used as a reference in encyclopedias.

The presentation will begin with a lecture on Adobe Photoshop Elements at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center, 22900 Market Street, Newhall.

Edward's presentation will begin at 7 p.m.
