Zaring a winner

Three months ago, I had the opportunity of meeting John Zaring. He is the candidate running for the Castaic School Board. Zaring is the Dance Dad and speaks glowingly about his daughters like most men would beam about their sons.

I believe 10 years of continued service to the various schools says much about the trust, dedication, integrity and ability to work with others that is strongly needed in our valley.

I reviewed his Web site at www.thezaringgroup.com. I was impressed by his campaign literature featuring a strong legion of local educational leaders who are endorsing him.

They include the dynamite Flo Lawrence; the esteemed Bruce Fortine; the tenacious ladies Susie Spencer, Crystal Walker, Diane McGrory and Jeannette Edwards; and my favorite, the logical and passionate Gloria Mercado-Fortine.

He was one of many who soldiered the Measure SA bond to fruition, which will hopefully bring the much needed Castaic high school promised for 10 years in our region.

Then I met the problem solver and heard him speak on several occasions and a couple interviews. All of this increased my interest enough to walk door to door on his behalf and he didn’t ask.

My mother always told me, when you can’t make the time to “walk your talk,” assist someone who does and “expect more.”

Walk with me and vote for Zaring for Castaic School Board. He’s a winner.
