A brush fire around a house in the 16600 block of Sultus Street prompted the response of three fire engines mid Friday afternoon. The blaze scorched about 1 acre shortly after 3 p.m., there were no injuries and there was no damage to the house, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
St. Stephen's to hold rummage sale
A multi-family rummage sale will be held today from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Newhall. The sale will feature books, toys, clothing, furniture, household items and many other things. All proceeds will directly benefit St. Stephen's mission and ministries in the local community. St. Stephen's is located at 24901 Orchard Village Road.
